This idea just came up when experimenting with the TZR125 CDI's The Idea is simple.

The 3MA-00 and 3MA-01 CDI do have a speedlimiter this is done by closing the ypvs servo a bid.
We also know that the 3MA-10 and 3MA-11 CDI's do use a different speed limiter that is done by lowering the ignition curve a couple of degrees.
So why now combine these two CDI units to use the best of them.
3MA-00 or 3MA-01 CDI for ignition
3MA-10 or 3MA-11 CDI for ypvs

The connection off the 3MA-10 or 3MA-11 will be very easy only two modifications are needed.
1) Split the pickup sensor wire. (keep color on color)
2) Split the CDI powerup. (keep color on color)

The rest does not need to be connected.


Here you have my (quick) test setup.
You see only the pickup signal and powerup are connected.
Here you see the 3MA-10 CDI (ypvs) working in combination with the 3MA-00 CDI.
At the right the behavior of the ypvs curve.
(Clearly you see the open to safety to close pattern back in the movie)
Due to the many projects I am currently working on haven't checked it on my road going 3MA.
In theory this should work, but only practice will tell.
